I've just caught this on the news and find it appaling. What has happened to Croydon? I was born in Mayday, have lived in Croydon all my life until I came to Uni and am just shocked at what is happening in my home town. When will otehr teenagers learn that carrying weapons is not the answer to thier problems? I came from a CR0 postcode so I have seen first hand how bad people can be to each other. Why can't people just get along?

I am truly sorry for what has happened to Sian. I was driving across the fly-over when I saw the police at the scene in Croydon. I had hoped that it would not be anything of this nature. The people responsible should be locked up never to walk the streets again. It's so unfortunate for Sian and my heart goes out to her family. May you all keep faith that justice will be served.

How can anyone live with what they have done? They should be locked up and the key thrown away!

You were so young! Life hadn't even begun! You would have loved the clubs! lol

Seeing you on the bus not long ago and having a chat about life. It is hard to believe.

You made me laugh so many times when I saw you out and about the estate when you had escaped from the house and nan!

It always happens to the good ones!

May God bless your family and friends.

RIP Sian. May God be with you.

Goodbye.

Such a waste of a life. I have grown up in croydon and am ashamed to be part of this 'ghetto' community it is becoming. Who on earth carries a knife with them anyway? kids are looking for trouble these days and go out with an intention to hurt someone. what goes around comes around and the girl responsible for this will have her own judgement passed onto her in time. rip

I'm so angry this happened. SLFHA Ltd - the housing association who run Mann Close, and the local police have been contacted repeatedly about the severe ASB issues here. It was only a matter of time before something so tragic happened. I'm truly sorry for Sian's family. I cannot imagine how painful this is for them. We can only pray that Sian is at peace now. It's a selfish and violent world we are living in. Such a beautiful life, so cruelly ended. I hope whoever did it repents at leisure. May they never sleep peacefully again. Godbless Sian.x

Just want to give my condolences to Sian's Family, I never knew Sian, but i am disgusted in how she died ,im only 18 years old myself and to think people my age think about such absurd things, fighting and attacks are bad enough to start with but using weapons it's plain and simple selfish and stupid, and allegedly over a guy...what is that about, if people mess around with another person let them be , they are not worth being with really are they, find someone who respects you for you instead of taking lives of people so precious, you know what really sad, if it's a boys girlfriend that did this, Sian probably didnt have an idea he had one, most guys lie to get they way, look where that gets people, it hurt people unintentionally her family didnt deserve to suffer any of this, Sian didn't deserve to die espeically over a guy, society is diabolical, i'm ashamed to say i live in Croydon. God bless Sian who now will Remain her existence in heaven,(a better place than croydon) and God bless Sian's family my heart goes out to you all!

This is so sad! What a stain! What a blight! So swiftly snuffed out, this beautiful, bright light.

They've been harping on men in crisis: surely this compels us to see,
the men's crises
are the women's
because of our complementarity.

The Black family is in crisis: our blood being senselessly shed in the streets.
We need to find a way to change things; it is first and foremost our responsibility.

My heart goes out to Sian's family and hope they get as much help as possible to deal with their loss.I used to live in croydon years ago but i hear about so much crime down that way and it's not getting better either.I would never want to go back there and certainly not with my childeren either.
It seems as though the police have a real tough job on their hands and im sure it won't be long before they need to be armed either.

If ever there was a time to take a look at the kids that are being raised, it is now. Parents of these children who are taking each others lives, be MORE ACTIVE in their lifes, It's nice to have a job and be able to have the nicer things in life, but we must still keep our eye on the bigger picture. We cannot work everyday that god sends, till late at night, without knowing what our children are doing, NEGLECT for our youths is turning the streets into war zones. KNOW where your children are and what they are doing. WE as Parents need to take more responsability for our CHILDREN. To Sian's family, may the lord guide you through this terrible time, and when you are weak and feel you can take no more, the lord will carry you. BE BLESSED ONE AND ALL xx

Sad to see another bright young life ended so early. My heart goes out to Sian, her family and friends.

What is this country, and our home town coming to when now even teenage girls are killing each other.

Youths have no respect for themselves or others these days and are prepared to kill in the name of it. Something needs to be done to stop this minless violence.

Heart out goes out to Sian's family another death on a Croydon street.

What is happening to Croydon when this kind of thing happens. What does it say for the future when gangs of women with obviously no morals or self respect argue in a street which ends in this tragic death.

I hope everyone involved in the fight will look in the mirror and feel sick at what they have done.

Parents of all teenagers look at what your children are doing.. teenagers hanging around in gangs in Croydon I know my parents would never have allowed me to behave like they do and if I did i know i would have been smacked.

Its not about another "BLACK" life being taken..... Its a universal problem. No matter what the colour of the skin, another young adult has died in terrible circumstances. Its a waste of a promising life & a indication of the way that this country is going! When will we have a strong enough government? One that will Stop this "knife Culture"? When will we stop glamorising it in programs & films? When will we start seeing happy stories on the front pages of the tabloids? When will we go back to basics & start to instill a respect for others & most importantly for ourselves in the childeren. Who after all are the future! My heart goes out to Sians family & friends. What the f*ck is wrong with these jumped up, stupid little pri*ks today?! A girl has lost her life for what? No f*cking good reason. These scummy little creatures need to take a good look at what they're doing and get some respect for life and grow the f*ck up. What they're doing isn't big or clever. That stupid little girl should receive the CAPITAL punishment for what she did to Sian. Bring back the death penalty, maybe that will make those little b*stards sit up and think before they act. thing is if the police gets called in to break up a fight before something happens they get accused of heavyhandedness, cultural insensitivity or wasting time, the whole thing might end up in a big riot. But if they don't intervene it's their fault as well. RIP Sian, too bad you didn't make it out, you weren't killed by a single person but by a whole community, too bad there are many more like you all over the world especially here in the pathetic USA.

I'm not religious, but I hope there is a hell, so that the killer can rot there.

This has to stop now, as there were more fights in the Croydon shopping centres yesterday, which could have easily resulted in serious injury to the general public.

Anyone can see it's gang mentality that has established itself. The government and police must intervene, before anyone else dies at the hands of stupid teenagers with no moral guide in their lives.
